how i cope and relieve stress & giveaway #4 - bolder band (1:00 pm)

I'm not an athlete. Not even close. I actually never exercised in my life until I had Ethan and realized that if I didn't start, I would near wear jeans again. I never liked exercising. Something about rigorous activity and sweating and body aches just wasn't fun for me. I surprised myself when after having Wylie, I waited ever so impatiently for the doctor to clear me to work out. My want to work out and exercise and sweat was an unfamiliar want, but one that I really, really wanted. The day she cleared me, I called Orange Theory and signed up.

Orange Theory is hard even if you exercise. During my trial class, I watched people who could actually run sweat and look like they were about to collapse. The first couple of classes, I swore I made a terrible mistake and could never finish. But then I kept at it (and kept complaining, because that's how I roll) and am now a little weirded out by how much my sanity depends on my three-times-a-week classes. I swear that I'm not going to live through each class as they're happening, but by the end, I feel better. And happier. And more energized. And like I actually found a way to combat my stress and anxiety when I feel it sneaking up on me.

I am so excited to offer THREE people the chance to win a Bolder Band no-slip workout headband. I'll never be able to get used to working out with my hair flapping all over the place and, if I'm running, I'm already stressed out enough without worrying about my hair flying in my face. Bolder Band gives you full freedom to work out without worrying about your hair getting in the way.

From their website: I am a Colorado native and a cross fitting/running mom of three amazing kids and wife to an awesome man who is also my business partner! I really enjoy working out, but could never seem to find the right thing to hold my hair back. Every name-brand elastic head band would pop off my head in the middle of my workouts. I got fed up with the interruption of fixing my headband every few burpees and decided there had to be a better alternative. So, I took matters into my own hands and began to sew my own. I dusted off my sewing machine and made a few bands to give to my running partners and workout buddies who liked them as much as I did! Thus began the creation of Bolder Band™. In one year, we have been able to spread our message all over the US and beyond to encourage women (and men) to be part of our Band of Bold, Beautiful People! Our bands are made right here in our small Colorado hometown by an incredible team of dedicated professionals committed to producing the highest quality product possible. We have set ourselves apart by making headbands sized according to your head. We believe that's critical to the efficacy of the band, since not all heads are the same size. We also guarantee that our headbands (when worn correctly) will stay put, so you don't have to. We have an amazing team of passionate individuals working behind the scenes. They are committed to getting the orders out quickly and accurately, as well as giving exceptional customer service. We hope you will join us on our quest to empower all people to be active and to be the most bold, beautiful version of themselves!!

Congratulations to...
