WHEN? Blogathon 2014 will kick off at 8:00 a.m. EST on November 22nd, 2014 and will come to a close at 8:00 a.m. EST on November 23rd, 2014.
WHO? This year, I am honored to be blogging for The Compassionate Friends. I highly encourage everyone to take a moment to read up on this incredible organization. It is an honor to fundraise for them this year.
The mission of The Compassionate Friends: When a child dies, at any age, the family suffers intense pain and may feel hopeless and isolated. The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope, and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or a daughter, a brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving family.
With over 660 chapters in all 50 states, including DC, Guam and Puerto Rico, The Compassionate Friends provide support in the face of loss. No matter if the loss is new, if it happened 50 years ago, if the child was an adult or a baby who never took it's first breath, The Compassionate Friends offer complimentary bereavement packets specific to your loss as well as support. They ensure that you will never walk alone.
HOW? I will be blogging once every 30 minutes for 24 hours straight to raise funds for The Compassionate Friends, Inc. As I blog, people can pledge donations, 100% of which go directly to this organization. You can donate using the widget in the top left corner. Donations will be accepted up until the very end of the Blogathon, but the earlier you donate, the more raffles you'll be eligible for!
PRIZES? Just as in years past, for every $5 you donate, you are eligible to win all of the wonderful prizes we have had donated. A complete list of prizes will be listed here. Prizes will continue to be added up until the start of the Blogathon. Prizes will be raffled off here throughout the Blogathon.
